This Trane heat pump looked just fine until our Renaud Electric technician took the cover off. What you see is a buildup of cottonwood fluff and maybe even some drier lint on the outdoor coil of a heat pump..
With all this lint and fluff the heat pump was not able to cool at full capacity. This stresses the system, shortening the life of the heat pump. It is unable to keep the home cool.
Regular maintenance on your heat pump will keep your coil clean to give you optimum cooling and heating as well as allow the system to work as it was intended.
